Here is a helpful reminder of the start dates of transect weeks.
The formal transect season starts on 1 April every year and continues until the end of September.
The day of the week on which transect weeks start (i.e. the day on which 1 April falls) normally moves ahead each year by one day, but by two days in a leap year. The table below gives the starting days of the transect week from 2018 to 2030.
