The Winter Moth can be found wherever there are trees or shrubs,
including hedgerows and gardens. Only the male will be seen
flying, often in car headlights at night, as the female has
rudimentary wings and cannot fly. It is a resident species,
common in our area and can be attracted to light. After dark
both sexes can be found on the bark of trees.
